Over at IO9 there’s a wonderful write-up of Becky Chambers’ book The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet. My congratulations to Becky on the great reviews, and I hope the book finds a lot of new readers.

Harper Collins US reached out to me this summer to provide the art for their US release of Becky Chambers’ book, and I was thrilled to help. In a previous article I discuss the design of the cover,

and here’s the adjustment I made to the original artwork:

I was asked to remove the text and isolate the elements from the background in different layers. Here is the official release version for the US:

So my art is now out in US release. This is a good day overall. My thanks go out to Becky Chambers, I’m thrilled to have been able to contribute to your first book, and the folks at Harper Collins.  The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet is now available from Harper Collins US.
