This was a commissioned painting of the Heart of Gold, from Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. In the story, the Heart of Gold escapes doom by using its Infinite Improbability Drive which, as a side effect, causes a whale and bowl of petunias to instantly materialize over the planet Magrathea.

The original painting was 18″ x 14″ and is now in a private collection. Prints are available in my store:
