This starship was one of 12 made by our local Science Fiction model club, based on the 1:1000 scale Polar Lights Enterprise model. Each of us took one of the original starships listed in the old “Making of Star Trek” book – presumably one of Enterprise’s sister ships. I used elements from the First and Second Pilot detail variations to make the Farragut appear to be an older ship, as it was the first that Kirk was assigned to before taking command of the Enterprise.
