Here are some of the sketches I’ve posted on the #spaceshipaday twitter feed.

Taking passengers on voyages through the system

Winged, orbular space fighter

It’s a skiff, with guns

Interstellar transport with variable wing Alcubierre Drive fields

Hovering ships over a futuristic city

Ship repair and tug vessel

My friend and former co-worker Daniel Fortine built one of my ships in Lego

Commissioned by General Martok, this Bird of Prey has significant advantages over the previous models

My take on the old Galactica

My mashup of classic Ron Cobb designs and possible sister class to the Firefly transports

Capable of refueling by skimming the atmosphere of the gas giants, this frigate maintains the peace in the outer system

Multi-role transport and emergency rescue vehicle

Wings of OABs drop from orbit, screaming to their targets undetected

Just following a vibe on this one. Heavy Moebius influence

Star Trek meets John Berkey

Some kind of orbital transport craft, multi-wing

Clearly from the same lineage as the Sulaco, this variant carries ordinance within massive, armored pods

I love scenes with large spacecraft docking ports

After arriving at their destination star system, the passengers grafted the remains of their colony ship to a local asteroid. This provides them with sufficient raw materials and fuel to stage orbital landing and support.

Approaching an ailing spacecraft, attempting to push it along

Pen and marker sketch

Capable of both atmospheric and orbital combat

More spacecraft hovering on final approach to a mooring tower

Engine / Drive end of an unusual spacecraft

All thrust manifolds wide open for high speed maneuvers

SSTO vehicle, lifting off

Capable of carrying over 2,000 passengers, these ships typically run loops from the Earth to Mars, Venus, and Mercury

Covered in thick planks of ablative and “smart” armor, this old battlecruiser can sustain brutal assaults, yet remain operational and effective

Extrapolated “Queen” stage of the Leviathans featured in FARSCAPE

Support and assault carrier

Pilot on one side, gun pod on the next – flanked by high-energy powerplants

Water-landing capable, this SSTO shuttle is used to ferry colonists and equipment from the Colony ship in orbit to their new home.

Luxury pleasure craft with large glass sides, a favorite for viewing the rings of Saturn in a highly radioactive orbit
