Pluto And Charon

Acrylic painting of Pluto with its moon Charon, viewed from Nix, one of Pluto’s smaller moons. Stars of the milky way can be seen in the background of this dark, cold object in the solar system.

This painting was started two years before the New Horizons probe made its famous fly-by of Pluto and Charon in 2015. I revisited my old painting and updated it to reflect the features shown on Pluto.
