Painting Every Day

I paint and draw every day. It’s the best method for pushing my skills and sense of purpose. Sometimes it’s pen and pencil in a sketchbook, other times it’s digital, but in the last year I’ve spent most of my time with paint.

Mostly I’ve stuck with space and science fiction themes, as these are in my wheelhouse, so to speak. No artist would be worth their weight in old brushes if they didn’t tackle subjects outside of their comfort zone, and I’m no exception. To properly depict the fantastic, the imagined, one must know how to depict the real world.

And that is as much of a joy to me, as space and science fiction.
